Girls & Boys Win Double-Header
Lutheran East hosted a varsity double-header against Community Christian School on Friday night and both the boys and girls teams left with a victory.
The Lady Falcons played in the first game of the twin bill and won with some tough defense.  Freshman Jazmyne Darby led the team with 16 points.  The Falcons went into the locker room trailing at half-time, but a big third quarter led to a 47-35 win.  Senior point guard Shakenna Johnson finished the game with 12 points and her steady hand played a large role in the second-half turnaround.

The boys team had the late game and jumped out to an early lead they would never relinquish in a 60-30 win. Seniors Matt Hardnick and Brandon Rivers each had 14 points, while Thomas Jackson finished with 12.  Freshman Mark Churchill scored his first (of many to come!) varsity points and had 4 in the final quarter.
