Falcons Lose a Close One
The Falcons lost to the Conquerors in 3 sets today. The scores were 25-24, 25-22 and 25-9. In the first set Heritage jumped to an early lead but then Lutheran East rallied back. Led by Torrie Simmons, Kamilah Dotson and Shelly Gates' serves. Shelly served 6 straight points with 3 aces to pull us to 24-23, but then Heritage got a side out and won the first set. In the second set it was a back and forth game the whole way. Jeri Pollard led the team with 4 service points and one ace. Heritage unfortunately pulled it out at the end. The last set was a bit of a setback as the Falcons struggled. Shakenna Johnson was a leader in the back row for us and Jeri put on a hitting display throughout the course of the day. The Falcons return to action at Open Door on Thursday(10/6)
